Details: The hook/hanger was placed in a gripper vice from below and then the hook was connected to an 'S' hook for the vertical pull.
Vertical rate was set to negative 10" per minute. This describes how fast the downward motion and weight was applied to the hooks.
Hook pulled to failure and maximum reading was recorded for EcoHanger hook and and regular wire hooks.
The EcoHanger hooks were tested both in their 3-ply and 4-ply EcoHanger designs.
In addition, “used” or torsionally stressed EcoHanger hooks were also tested.
Wire hanger specs: hook was white coated measuring .075-.076" diameter. As a reference, 13 gage wire is .072"
